Phillipa Soo

**Phillipa Soo**, born as Phillipa Anne Soo, is a renowned American actress and singer. With her unique contributions primarily in musicals, she has been recognized with two Grammy Awards along with nominations for a Tony Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. One of her most illustrious roles was as Eliza Hamilton in the Broadway hit, '*Hamilton*', earning her a nomination for the 2016 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. This performance was captured in the Disney+ live stage recording of Hamilton which was released in 2020 and she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie. Over the span of her career, she has made several notable appearances, such as the title role in Amélie (2017), Rebecca in The Parisian Woman (2017–18), Cinderella in Into the Woods (2022), and Guenevere in Camelot (2023), making her diversified and multifaceted. Beyond Broadway, Soo has lent her talent to films such as Over the Moon, The Broken Hearts Gallery and Tick, Tick...Boom! and TV series, like making her debut in the series Smash (2013). Her personal life is intertwined with the arts too - she is married to Steven Pasquale and they adopted a dog, Billie.
