Richard Timothy Jones, better known as Richard T. Jones, is a passionate and talented American actor. Born in Kobe, Japan, on January 16, 1972, he started his acting career in the early 1990s and has been prolific in both film and television productions since then. His TV roles have encompassed a variety of notable series, from roles in 'Ally McBeal' (1997), 'Judging Amy' (1998–2005), 'CSI: Miami' (2006) and 'Grey's Anatomy' (2010), to 'Hawaii Five-0' (2011–2014) and 'Criminal Minds' (2017). Most recently, he has played Police Sergeant Wade Grey on the ABC police drama 'The Rookie' since 2018.

His body of film work showcases a similar versatility. Jones has delivered memorable performances as Lamont Carr in Disney's 'Full Court Miracle' (2003), Laveinio 'Slim' Hightower in 'The Wood' (1999), Mike in Tyler Perry's dramatic films 'Why Did I Get Married?' (2007) and 'Why Did I Get Married Too?' (2010), and Captain Russell Hampton in the blockbuster 'Godzilla' (2014). Despite his international birthplace, Jones grew up in Carson, California, attending Tuskegee University.
