Salvatore 'Robert' Loggia was an acclaimed American actor, born on January 3, 1930, in Staten Island, New York. With a formidable career spanning over sixty years, Loggia was best acknowledged for his roles in renowned films including Jagged Edge, Big, Scarface, Prizzi's Honor, Independence Day, and Lost Highway, just to name a few. His outstanding performance in Jagged Edge even earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, and he won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Big.

In addition to his envious film career, Loggia also made striking appearances in television series such as The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca, T.H.E. Cat, Mancuso, FBI, Malcolm in the Middle, The Sopranos, and Men of a Certain Age. Besides his acting career, Loggia also tried his hand at directing, with episodes of Quincy M.E., Magnum, P.I., and Hart to Hart to his credit. Despite facing a mid-life crisis that not only affected his career but his personal life as well, Loggia bounced back impressively, proving his relentless dedication and passion for his craft. He was married to Marjorie Sloan with whom he had three children, and later to Audrey O'Brien until his death on December 4, 2015.
