Robert Laman Webber, known as Robert Webber, was an illustrious American actor born on October 14, 1924. Webber built a solid reputation in the film industry through roles in a plethora of movies and television series. His most recognized role was Juror No. 12 in the 1957 film, 12 Angry Men. Webber also played prominent parts in 10 (1979) as Dudley Moore's gay lyricist and the father of Cybill Shepherd's character in the hit series Moonlighting. He also made notable appearances in movies such as The Nun and the Sergeant (1962), The Sandpiper (1965), The Dirty Dozen (1967), and Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974). Webber enjoyed a 40-year career as a character actor and appeared on countless popular television dramas like Mannix, Kojak, The Outer Limits, and The Fugitive. Unfortunately, on May 19, 1989, Webber passed away due to Lou Gehrig's disease at age 64 in Malibu, California, marking the end of a remarkable acting career.
