Sean Cameron Michael (born 24 December 1969) is a versatile South African actor, writer, and singer who has spent over three decades perfecting his craft. Michael has an impressive filmography with performances in more than 100 television series, shorts, and feature films. His performance as Ronald in Ryan Kruger's cult-hit Fried Barry earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Feature Film at the 2022 South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA), equivalent to the American Oscars or British BAFTAS. He started his career in 1993, and since then he has worked on significant roles in both South African and American productions. He scored the highest viewership ratings in network history with his portrayal of Thomas Edison in the History Channel's series America: The Story of Us. Michael's work extends to prominent roles in series like Black Sails, Shooter, and Blood Drive to name a few. In 2017, he won Best Performance by an Actor in a Feature Film for his role in 'Last Broken Darkness' at the Boston SciFi Film Festival. Recently, he was seen opposite David Tennant in 'Around the World in 80 Days' for the BBC. He is also a writer and executive producer in the Netflix Original feature 'Collision'.
