Sean Ringgold, born November 3, 1977, is an American actor and a former bodyguard. He came into prominence for his role as Shaun Evans on the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live and Junior on The Family Business. He further became known for his portrayal of Suge Knight in the Notorious B.I.G. biopic Notorious, not to mention his cameo in American Gangster and the Smurfs movie. Previously, Ringgold had parts in the hit television series Gossip Girl and Ugly Betty. His acting prowess also landed him roles in Orange is the New Black, Billions, the Netflix series Luke Cage, as the gangster Sugar, and as Correctional Officer Huey Cornell on the ABC drama For Life. Before becoming an actor, for many years, Ringgold was known as a New York State Arm Wrestling Champion and worked as a protection specialist. He also worked with multiple celebrities, after which he decided to break into acting. Ringgold's acting career took off after being cast on ABC's One Life To Live. His fame continued to grow as he took on roles in hit TV shows like Netflix's Luke Cage, Billions, Orange Is the New Black, and several others. Apart from his acting career, Ringgold is known for his philanthropic activities too. He has served on the Board of Directors of the nonprofit organization Heartshare St. Vincent's, which provides support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disorders.
