Sherry Cola

**Sherry Cola** (born 10 November 1989) is an American actress and comedian who began her career as a stand-up comic before transitioning into acting roles on television. Initially making a mark with recurring roles on various TV series, Cola came into wide recognition with her portrayal of Alice Kwan in the Freeform drama series *Good Trouble* (2019–2024). Following her featured role in the drama *Endings, Beginnings* in 2019, she ventured into film, having roles in the controversial Sia film *Music* (2021) and in the Pixar's animated feature *Turning Red* (2022). Her breakthrough was solidified by her strong performances in the 2023 comedies *Joy Ride* and *Shortcomings*, and her work in the Netflix comedies *A Family Affair* (2024) and *Nobody Wants This* (2024–present). Born on 10 November 1989 in Shanghai, China, Cola moved to Temple City, California, where she was raised by her parents who ran a restaurant in neighboring San Gabriel, California. After seven years at California State University, Fullerton where she worked in campus radio, she used her experience to land a post-graduation job at 97.1 FM in Los Angeles. Cola's stage name originated as her Yelp username in 2011. Carson Daly’s radio show on 97.1 AMP Radio paved her way into the media where she eventually served as an on-air host. Thereafter, Cola embraced her interest in comedy by attending Upright Citizens Brigade classes and performing stand-up comedy. She made her television breakthrough in 2017 on an Amazon series called *I Love Dick*. She is openly bisexual and served as a Grand Marshal at San Francisco Pride in 2022.
