Steven Cree

Steven Cree, born on 29 February 1980, is a Scottish actor known for his diverse roles in film, television, and theatre. He rose to prominence with his role as Ian Murray in the Starz television series, _Outlander_. His acting repertoire includes notable films such as _Brave_ (2012), _300: Rise of an Empire_ (2014), _Maleficent_ (2014), _51 Degrees North_ (2014), and _Churchill_ (2017). He has also made significant strides in television, with his work in _Lip Service_ earning him critical acclaim. Born in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland, Cree embarked on his professional acting journey in 2001, with a guest-starring role in CBBC's weekly comedy series, _G-Force_. Since then, he has displayed a wide range of talent in various genres, from crime dramas like _Silent Witness_ to comedies like _Huge_. More recent roles have seen him working in notable shows such as _The Musketeers_ and _MotherFatherSon_. Apart from acting, Cree has also ventured into other areas: in 2018, he wrote and starred in a short film entitled _The Little Princess_, which was co-awarded Best Short Narrative film at the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival.
