Takumi Saitô

**Takumi Saitoh** (斎藤 工, Saitō Takumi), born August 22, 1981, is a notable Japanese actor, filmmaker, and former model. Born in Minato, Tokyo, his passion for the acting profession was ignited by his father who worked in the film industry, and soon enough, he earned his first modeling contract with Indigo at the age of 15. Throughout his career, he has also explored careers in photography and film directing, using his birthname under which he directs films. His remarkable versatility across these occupations displays both a breadth of creative talent and a commitment to excellent craftsmanship. One notable aspect of his directorial work is that he uses his Kanji name which, although spelled differently, has the same pronunciation. His attention to craft has resulted in a diverse filmography including works like 'Zokki' (2020), 'Ramen Teh' (2018), 'The Prisoner of Sakura' (2019), and 'Love Mooning' (2021) to name a few.
