Tate Donovan

**Tate Buckley Donovan**, born on September 25, 1963, is a well-recognized American actor, comedian and television director. He set the bar high with his notable performances as Tom Shayes in _Damages_, Jimmy Cooper in _The O.C._, and as the voice of the title character in the 1997 Disney animated film Hercules. Known for his versatile acting skills, he starred opposite Sandra Bullock in the 1992 film, _Love Potion No. 9_. Tate's career expanded as he took up supporting roles in films like _Good Night, and Good Luck_ and _Argo_. He was seen in different characters like Brian Sanders in _Hostages_ and White House Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau in _24: Live Another Day_. He made guest appearances in various television series, notably _Friends_ portraying Joshua Burgin. His performance in the film _Inside Monkey Zetterland_ earned a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male.\n\nDonovan's career took another height as he ventured into production with _30 for 30 Shorts_, earning him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Form Nonfiction or Reality Series.
