Tate Buckley Donovan, born on September 25, 1963, is a well-recognized American actor, comedian and television director. He set the bar high with his notable performances as Tom Shayes in Damages, Jimmy Cooper in The O.C., and as the voice of the title character in the 1997 Disney animated film Hercules. Known for his versatile acting skills, he starred opposite Sandra Bullock in the 1992 film, Love Potion No. 9. Tate's career expanded as he took up supporting roles in films like Good Night, and Good Luck and Argo. He was seen in different characters like Brian Sanders in Hostages and White House Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau in 24: Live Another Day. He made guest appearances in various television series, notably Friends portraying Joshua Burgin. His performance in the film Inside Monkey Zetterland earned a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male.\n\nDonovan's career took another height as he ventured into production with 30 for 30 Shorts, earning him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Form Nonfiction or Reality Series. Born in Tenafly, New Jersey, Donovan initiated his acting journey since his teenage years.
