Tatiana Maslany

Tatiana Gabriele Maslany is a highly experienced Canadian actress, noted for her versatility in significant roles across multiple platforms. Born on September 22, 1985, Maslany rose to fame for her widely acclaimed performance of multiple characters in the science-fiction thriller TV series, Orphan Black (2013–2017). This breakthrough role garnered her a Primetime Emmy Award in 2016 and five Canadian Screen Awards between 2014 and 2018, making her the first Canadian to receive an Emmy in a major dramatic category for a Canadian series. Besides her outstanding performance in Orphan Black, Maslany has also performed in numerous television series such as Heartland (2008–2010), The Nativity (2010), Being Erica (2009–2011), and the recent She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022). Moreover, she has made remarkable appearances in films like Diary of the Dead (2007), Eastern Promises (2007), and The Vow (2012).

Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Maslany has been actively engaged in her profession since 1995. She is not only fluently bilingual in French, German, and English but also a committed dancer since the tender age of four. Meanwhile, in addition to her successful screen career, Maslany has also been part of improvisational theatre and even has experience as a certified improvisation trainer. Her career predominantly spans over television series and films, but she has also tried her hand at theatre. She appeared in the Broadway production of Network in 2019. In 2022, Maslany married actor Brendan Hines.
