Theo Rossi

John Theodore Rossi, commonly known as Theo Rossi, is an American actor, producer, and philanthropist born on June 4, 1975. He is well-recognized for his portrayal of Juan Carlos "Juice" Ortiz on the FX series Sons of Anarchy (2008–2014) and Hernan "Shades" Alvarez in Luke Cage (2016–2018). Besides these he starred in series and films like Red Sands, Bad Hurt, Lowriders, Vault, and Emily the Criminal, which earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Rossi was born in Staten Island, New York City and holds Italian, Spanish, Lebanese, and Syrian descent. In his early life, he was entangled into drug dealing before moving to California where he studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. His passion here translated into several theatre productions.

Rossi launched his production company, Dos Dudes Pictures, in 2014 which produced its first feature film, Bad Hurt. Other notable appearances include television shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Hawaii Five-O, Las Vegas, The Unit, Jericho, Bones, Without a Trace, Veronica Mars, and many more. Further, his association with the Harlem Film House advisory board in 2019 showcases his support for independent filmmakers from marginalized communities. Rossi's philanthropic work also deserves mention. Associated with the Boot Campaign, he works for wounded soldiers and those struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Reconstructing homes for Hurricane Sandy victims and animal welfare initiatives with The Humane Society of the United States are just a glimpse of his contributions.
