**Timothy Alan Dick**, professionally known as **Tim Allen**, is an acclaimed American actor and comedian. Born on June 13, 1953, Allen is notable for his role as Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the ABC sitcom *Home Improvement* (1991–1999) and Mike Baxter on the ABC/Fox sitcom *Last Man Standing* (2011–2021). He is also recognized as the voice of Buzz Lightyear for the *Toy Story* franchise and played Scott Calvin and Santa Claus in *The Santa Clause* franchise. Allen has performed in various films, such as *Jungle 2 Jungle*, *Galaxy Quest*, and *The Six Wives of Henry Lefay*. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, he graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications, specializing in radio and television production. He commenced his career as a comedian in 1975, gaining popularity for his stand-up appearances on late-night talk shows and specials. Allen's success further escalated with the sitcom *Home Improvement*, making his mark in acting. He also ventured into voice acting with Disney/Pixar's *Toy Story* where he voiced the iconic character of Buzz Lightyear. Beyond acting, Allen ventured into film direction with *Crazy on the Outside* and narrated television and radio commercials for the 'Travel Michigan' agency. Recently, he announced a new comedy tour and a third sitcom, *Shifting Gears*.
