Tony Cavalero

**Anthony Cavalero**, born October 12, 1983, is an accomplished American actor and comedian. He is best known for his role as Dewey Finn in Nickelodeon's _School of Rock_, Keefe Chambers in the HBO television series _The Righteous Gemstones_ (2019–present), and for his uncanny portrayal of Ozzy Osbourne in the film _The Dirt_. His acting career began in 2006, and he has since kept a steady pace in the entertainment industry. Born in Northern Virginia, Cavalero made his early strides not far from Washington, DC. After attending Poe Middle School, he graduated from Annandale High School, where his sporting prowess saw him letter in varsity football, wrestling, and lacrosse. He is an Eagle Scout and a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, highlighting his discipline and commitment to excellence. Cavalero is also a graduate of Virginia Military Institute where he was a four-year varsity lacrosse player. Moreover, he pursued theatrical studies at California State University, Los Angeles after moving to Los Angeles in 2006. Another notable aspect of his career is his membership with The Groundlings, a renowned improvisational and sketch comedy troupe. Cavalero's acting career kicked off in 2006 with his major break coming in 2014 when he was cast as Dewey Finn on the Nickelodeon remake of School of Rock, replacing Jack Black from the original 2003 film. The series premiered in 2016 and ran for three successful seasons, providing substantial recognition for Cavalero. Another significant role was his portrayal of Ozzy Osbourne in Netflix's biographical film of Mötley Crüe, _The Dirt_, in 2018. In 2019, Cavalero further established his comedic credentials by playing Keefe Chambers in the HBO comedy The Righteous Gemstones.
