What's After the Movie
Born and raised in Victoria, Australia, Travis Fimmel began his journey to stardom as a model. He was first spotted working out at a gym by a talent scout for the Chadwick Models agency and was later signed by the LA Models agency in 2002. He achieved significant recognition as the first male in the world to secure a six-figure deal to model exclusively for Calvin Klein. Fimmel's essential charm and charisma led him to be named one of 2002's sexiest bachelors by People magazine. After establishing a successful modelling career, Fimmel explored his interests in acting.
Beginning his acting career in 2001 with appearances in music videos, he first gained substantial recognition for his leading role in the WB series Tarzan in 2003. From there, his versatile acting skills saw him play a diverse range of characters, from a talented classical pianist to a markedly extra-terrestrial character in the HBO Max science fiction series Raised by Wolves (2020–2022). However, the crowning achievement of his career is undoubtedly his portrayal of Ragnar Lothbrok in the History Channel television series Vikings (2013–2017), which won him immense international acclaim. As of 2022, Fimmel also ventured into the business sector, founding his own beer brand, Travla.
