Verónica Falcón, born on August 8, 1966, in Mexico City, Mexico, has enjoyed a bustling career in the entertainment industry, despite facing stigma from her family. With an enduring career that spans over three decades, Falcón made a significant impact as both an actress and choreographer within Mexico's National Opera Company. Her work extends to Mexican television where she has successfully embodied various roles. She further propelled her career into the mainstream through her performance as La Madrina in Everardo Gout's 2011 film, Days of Grace. Her dominating performance led to her nomination by PECIME - the Asociación de Periodistas Cinematográficos de México - for the Diosas de Plata award for best supporting film actress for her role in the 2013 film, Besos de Azúcar. At the age of 50, in 2016, she made the daring decision to venture from Mexico and expand her career within the U.S., leading to her becoming the first Mexico-born actress to secure a second lead role in a U.S. TV drama, playing Camila Vargas in Queen of the South. Her portrait of the character was met with critical acclaim, leading to her reception of the Outstanding Performance in a Television Series Impact Award. She continued to make strides in her career, taking on noteworthy roles such as Clara in Perpetual Grace, Marianne Sancar in Voyagers, a character in Perry Mason, and even appearing in the 2021 Disney film Jungle Cruise. In 2021, she landed the role of Camila Elizonndro in the much-acclaimed series, Ozark.
