**Xavier Samuel**, an Australian film and theatre actor, was born on 10 December 1983 in Hamilton, Victoria. He is particularly noted for his leading roles in feature films such as *Adore*, *September*, *Further We Search*, *Newcastle*, *The Loved Ones*, *Frankenstein*, and *A Few Best Men*. He also gained prominence for playing Riley Biers in *The Twilight Saga: Eclipse* and Billy in *Spin Out*. Samuel further starred as Cass Chaplin in *Blonde*. Despite growing up in Adelaide, South Australia, and completing his senior secondary years at Rostrevor College, he started his drama education at Christian Brothers College. Samuel embellished his acting skills by playing Tom Snout in Rostrevor College's production of Shakespeare's *A Midsummer Night's Dream* and Belvile in CBC's production of Aphra Behn's *The Rover (The Banished Cavaliers)*. He later attended Flinders University Drama Centre and graduated in 2006. Samuel has since had a diversified acting career, venturing into various themes and genres. His debut in television was with the Australian show *McLeod's Daughters* in 2003. His other significant roles include appearances in *September*, *Newcastle*, *The Loved Ones*, *The Twilight Saga: Eclipse*, and *A Few Best Men*. He co-starred with substantial names like Rebel Wilson and Olivia Newton-John in *A Few Best Men*, and has worked with renowned actors like Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf in the blockbuster movie *Fury*. His portrayal of Simon Heywood in the Australian TV series *Seven Types of Ambiguity* in 2017 was also well-received. Till date, Samuel continues to work both in the Australian and American film industry actively.
