Yukiya Kitamura (北村 有起哉, Kitamura Yukiya), born on April 29, 1974 in Tokyo, Japan, is a reputable Japanese actor who is under the representation of the Tom company. He is the son of the acclaimed actor, Kazuo Kitamura and is married to fellow actress, Shiho Takano. Throughout his career, Kitamura has shown a clear and strong ambition towards acting, which he developed during his time at the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute Fuji High School. His passion for acting was so profound, that he pursued further studies in the field at the Japan Institute of the Moving Image. His acting journey kicked off in 1998, when he successfully debuted in the stage play called 'Spring Awakening' and the film 'Dr. Akagi'. Over the years, Kitamura has shown sterling performances at various stage shows. Interestingly, he has managed to consistently perform at these stage shows while not belonging to a specific theater company. In addition to his stage shows, in recent years, he has appeared in a considerable number of television dramas. One of his significant accomplishments was landing his first starring film role in 'Taiyō no Futa' in the year 2016. His personal life has also been quite eventful. On June 4, 2013, Kitamura took a major step by marrying actress Shiho Takano after dating her for four years. Later, they were blessed with a male child in November 2014.
