**Bertrand Bonello** is a highly respected and multi-talented personality in the French film industry. Born on 11th September 1968 in Nice, France, Bonello has made an extraordinary career as a film director, screenwriter, producer, composer, and actor. His vast body of work includes remarkable films under the New French Extremity movement, such as Something Organic (1998), The Pornographer (2001), Tiresia (2003), and much later, Zombi Child (2019), and Coma (2022).In 2014, Bonello directed Saint Laurent, a biopic of fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, which was nominated for the César Award for Best Director. A child protegee, Bonello commenced his journey in the music industry, mastering the piano from the age of five. His passion for films sparked at the age of twelve after watching horror films from notable directors like David Cronenberg and Dario Argento. Before diving headfirst into the world of films, he worked as a session musician for records of other artists. Through his creative journey, Bonello has gained prestige with his works being showcased at reputable film festivals, including the Berlin and Cannes Film Festival. Besides his directing career, he also owns a production company named My New Picture, dedicated to producing his films. He was bestowed with the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in France in 2015, a clear recognition of his vast contribution to the French film industry.
