George Nolfi

**George Nolfi** is an accomplished American filmmaker, known for his diverse roles as a screenwriter, director, and producer. Born on June 10, 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts, Nolfi graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University and earned a Marshall Scholarship to study philosophy at Oxford University. He initially ventured into a PhD in political science at UCLA, aiming for a career in government and academia. Yet his life took a dramatic turn in 1997, when he sold his first spec script, *Pathfinder*, sparking his film-making career. His illustrious journey in Hollywood began with his first screenwriting credit for the sci-fi film *Timeline* in 2003. His screenplays include high-profile ones like *Ocean’s Twelve* and the political action thriller *The Sentinel*. His contribution to the Bourne film series won him praise, which eventually led to his directorial debut with *The Adjustment Bureau* in 2011, an adaption of Philip K. Dick’s short story. This film particularly stands out as it raises thought-provoking questions about fate and self-determination. Nolfi's talent spanned across mediums when he created, executively produced and served as the principal director for the espionage television series *Allegiance* in 2015. One of his recent highly commended works includes *The Banker* (2020), a film that tells the poignant true story of two African American businessmen which won the Outstanding Independent Motion Picture at the 52th NAACP Image Awards in 2021.
