His career started when he worked as an assistant in Creative Artists Agency's Motion Picture Literary department. Notably, he helped director Joel Schumacher on the films Tigerland, Bad Company, and Phone Booth. He rose to prominence with The Golden Tux, a script he co-wrote with Todd Phillips. This script caught the attention of Vince Vaughn, leading to his involvement in the co-writing and co-producing of The Break-Up. His career further elevated when he worked on an uncredited re-write of The Hangover, a critical and commercial success grossing over $465 million at the box office. He made a significant mark in industry when he directed and produced *The Wedding Ringer*, a film adaptation of his previous script, The Golden Tux. Despite negative reviews, the film succeeded in box office. In 2018, he showcased his talent further by co-creating, directing, writing, and producing Best. Worst. Weekend.
