Justin Lin (traditional Chinese: 林詣彬; simplified Chinese: 林诣彬; pinyin: Lín Yìbīn; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lîm Gē-pin, born October 11, 1971) is a Taiwanese-American film and television director, producer, and screenwriter, best known for his vast and successful directorial work. He has directed popular films like Better Luck Tomorrow (2002), multiple installments of the Fast & Furious franchise, and Star Trek Beyond (2016). He has also been recognized for his work directing television programs like Community, and True Detective.

Justin was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and immigrated to the United States at the age of eight. He grew up in Buena Park, California and attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in film and television and a Master of Fine Arts in film directing and production. His directorial debut was Better Luck Tomorrow (2002), a film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim. Justin's movies have generated over $3 billion USD worldwide. His renowned directing in the Fast & Furious series has significantly contributed to his global success, beginning with the Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) installment up until Fast & Furious 6 (2013), and then resurging with F9 (2021).
