Leslie Small

Leslie Small, born in 1968/1969, is a notable American film director and producer who began his career in 1998. He obtained his first production experience shooting a commercial for Master P's No Limit Films. Small collaborated with Mo'Nique to create her one-woman show titled Mo'Nique: One Night Stand in 2005. Around this time, the duo also discussed producing a comedy film set in the world of hair, resulting in Small's directorial debut with Hair Show (2004). Since then, Small's body of work has grown significantly, showcasing his prowess in the industry. He has filmed a wide range of films and television specials, including popular Kevin Hart performances such as Laugh at My Pain (2011), Let Me Explain (2013), What Now? (2016), and Irresponsible (2019).

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Small possesses several academic degrees. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, a master's degree in Statistics, and a Ph.D. in Economics.
