Luc Jacquet, born 5 December 1967, is a renowned French film director and screenwriter. His significant contribution to the film industry began in 1993 and has continued till date. He is predominantly known for writing and directing the award-winning film March of the Penguins. This film, appreciated for its captivating storytelling and stunning cinematography, secured an Oscar for Best Documentary Feature in 2005, enhancing Jacquet’s reputation in the film fraternity. The film also received a nomination for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Documentary Screenplay, adding yet another feather to Jacquet’s hat.
