Born Richard L. Moore on May 10, 1963, Rich Moore is a renowned American film and television animation director, screenwriter, and voice actor. Moore kickstarted his career in 1986 and has since been a prominent figure in the industry. Among his most notable works are his directorial roles on primetime animated television series like The Simpsons, The Critic, and Futurama. He also possesses commendable finesse in the world of film, having directed famous movies like Wreck-It Ralph (2012), Zootopia (2016), and Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) for Walt Disney Animation Studios. His career is decorated with numerous accolades, including two Emmy Awards, three Annie Awards, and an Academy Award. Moore was born and raised in Oxnard, California, and secured a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the California Institute of the Arts in 1987.
