Steven Caple Jr.

Steven Caple Jr. (born May 19, 1988) is a prodigious American film and television director, producer, and screenwriter. His well-known works include **The Land (2016)**, **Creed II (2018)**, **A Different Tree**, and **Prentice-N-Fury's Ice Cream Adventure**. In 2017, he gained significant recognition when Forbes named Caple Jr. one of the _30 Under 30_ in Hollywood & Entertainment. Further showcasing his directorial prowess, he also directed **Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023)**, which is the seventh live-action Transformers film. Caple caught his first significant break with his student film **A Different Tree** which won HBO's Short Film Competition in 2013. **The Land**, his feature film debut, chronicles the story of four teenage boys from Cleveland striving to realize their dream of professional skateboarding, premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, and was later acquired by IFC Films. Caple also wrote HBO's high-profile project, **Emmett Till**, a six-episode miniseries adapted from Devery Anderson's 2015 biography, based on the harrowing real-life story of 14-year-old Emmett Till. Caple's 2018 sports drama, **Creed II**, serves as a sequel to 2015's Creed and is the eighth installment in the Rocky film series. Caple's broad-ranging contributions to film and television have firmly established him as one of the most promising talents in the industry.
