Aitana Sánchez-Gijón

*Aitana Sánchez-Gijón de Angelis* is an esteemed Spanish and Italian film actress born on November 5, 1968. She made her television debut at age 16 in the high school series Segunda enseñanza where she played the role of a lesbian teenager named Sisi. This was a significant stepping stone in her career, marking her entry into the world of acting. Her film debut came with Romanza final in 1986. Her breakthrough came with the 1989 film Bajarse al moro, where she played the role of Elena. Aitana is also widely recognized for her role as Victoria Aragon in *A Walk in the Clouds* (1995) where she played a pregnant, abandoned Mexican-American winegrower's daughter who is helped by a travelling salesman, Paul Sutton, played by Keanu Reeves. Since then, she built a reputation as an international star and has starred in numerous films such as Boca a Boca (1996), The Chambermaid on the Titanic (1997), Sus Ojos Se Cerraron (1998), I'm Not Scared (2003), and The Machinist (2004). Aitana also wore the hat of the president for the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain between 1998 and 2000 and in 2024, she appeared in the Netflix drama Breathless.
