Alicia Witt

**Alicia Roanne Witt** (born August 21, 1975) is an American actress and musician known for her roles in many popular movies and TV series. Witt's acting career started off with a bang after being discovered by David Lynch who cast her in Dune (1984) and Twin Peaks (1990). Witt was also a regular on Cybill Shepherd's sitcom Cybill (1995–1998) playing as Zoe Woodbine. She later played significant roles in popular films like Fun (1994), Mr. Holland's Opus (1995), Urban Legend (1998), Vanilla Sky (2001), Two Weeks Notice (2002), Last Holiday (2006), 88 Minutes (2007), I Care A Lot (2020), and Longlegs (2024). On TV, she has made appearances on The Walking Dead, The Sopranos, Friday Night Lights, and Orange Is the New Black among other TV series. Witt also has a profound musical career as a pianist, singer, and songwriter. She has been a part of nine annual Hallmark Christmas films since 2013. In her most recent Hallmark film, Christmas Tree Lane (2020), she served as the executive producer and storywriter, and also contributed two original songs which her character sings. Other than acting and music, Witt's literary pursuit led her to release a book titled 'Small Changes: A Rules-Free Guide to Add More Plant-Based Foods, Peace & Power to Your Life' in 2021.
