Andy Nyman, actual name Andrew Nyman, is an English actor, director, writer and magician with a career spanning over three decades. Born on 13 April 1966 in Leicester, Leicestershire, Nyman embarked on a versatile palette of roles and performances. His noteworthy acting journey commenced with the 2000 performance as Keith Whitehead in Dead Babies, soon followed with roles alongside eminent actors in Emmy award-winning films. Nyman diversely portrayed characters, such as a gay French gun dealer in the 2003 film Coney Island Baby and a Polish-Jewish freedom fighter in Uprising.

Over the years, Nyman has appeared in horror-comedy, biopics, romcoms, and supernatural drama series, earning the best actor award at the 2006 Cherbourg-Octeville Festival of Irish & British Film. In 2007, he worked with Frank Oz in Death at a Funeral and starred in Charlie Brooker's E4 horror satire Dead Set. His recurring role as Jonty de Wolf in Channel 4's show Campus is quite remembered. Besides acting, Nyman voiced characters for series like Sarah & Duck and Chuggington. As a magician and mentalist, he worked with psychological illusionist Derren Brown, co-creating television shows and stage performances. His co-creation, a horror stage-play Ghost Stories, has run on various stages and was adapted into a film in 2017. He continued with the stage career portraying roles in various theatre productions.
