**Anna Diop**, born as Mame-Anna Diop on February 6, 1988, is an accomplished Senagalese-American actress and model. She launched her career with significant roles as a series regular on The CW's supernatural mystery, The Messengers in 2015 and the Fox thriller, 24: Legacy, in 2017. Diop's breakthrough role came when she portrayed Kory Anders / Starfire on the DC Universe / HBO Max series Titans between 2018 and 2023. Apart from her television career, Diop gained recognition for her work in film, mainly headlining the psychological thriller Nanny in 2022. Born in Dakar, Senegal, Diop moved to the United States when she was just six years old. She moved once again to New York at the age of 16, determined to carve a career in acting and modeling. Anna broke into television in 2006 with a recurring role on Everybody Hates Chris. In the subsequent years, she guest-starred on an array of shows, including Lincoln Heights, Whitney, and Touch. She also executed a role in the 2013 film The Moment. Diop's fascinating trajectory in the world of acting included a lead role as Rose Arvale in the short-lived supernatural drama series The Messengers. Later she starred in the thriller series Quantico and landed a recurring role on Oprah's drama series Greenleaf. Her body of work is punctuated with a standing role in the series 24: Legacy and the DC Universe superhero series Titans, where she immortalized the extraterrestrial princess and heroine, Starfire. In 2018, Anna was cast in the horror film Us, helmed by Jordan Peele. Lastly, she was bestowed with the Spotlight Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival on October 16, 2022.
