Bill Camp

**Bill Camp** is an esteemed American actor known for his vast collection of supporting roles in movies and television performances. Born between 1963-1964, he debuted in the acting industry in 1989 and has remained consistently active since then. His filmography includes outstanding works such as Lincoln (2012), 12 Years a Slave (2013), and the Joker (2019) amongst others. Camp is also recognized for his roles in television, notably in the HBO miniseries The Night Of in 2016 and The Outsider in 2020, along with other works like The Queen's Gambit on Netflix. His recurring roles include HBO's drama series 'The Leftovers' from 2015 to 2017 and Hulu's space drama 'The First' in 2018. Prior to his success on film and TV, Camp was considerably active in theatre. He took a brief hiatus from acting between 2002 and 2004 wherein he worked as a cook and mechanic before making a triumphant return in Tony Kushner's Homebody/Kabul, earning him an Obie Award. His Broadway works showcase an array of performances in plays such as Heartbreak House (2006), Death of a Salesman (2012) and The Crucible (2016), which earned him Tony Award nominations. A man for various platforms, Camp took TV roles, including a pivotal role in the second season of HBO's TV series 'Boardwalk Empire' and other popular shows like 'Law & Order', 'The Good Wife', and 'The Leftovers'. His talent on screen did not go unnoticed as he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for his role in 'The Night Of'.
