Billy Magnussen (officially known as William Gregory Magnussen) is an American actor born on April 20, 1985 in New York City, U.S. He has been active in the acting field since 2007 and has made a significant impact in the film and theatre industry. Billy's diverse talent is showcased in a variety of films and TV shows, including 'Into the Woods' (2014), 'Bridge of Spies' (2015), 'Birth of the Dragon' (2016), 'Game Night' (2018), and 'Aladdin' (2019). He has also made remarkable efforts in supporting television roles in 'Get Shorty' (2017) and 'Maniac' (2018). In 2021, he was seen in HBO Max's sci-fi series 'Made for Love' and films like 'The Many Saints of Newark' and 'No Time to Die'. Billy notably played Rey 'The King' Kingston in 'Spy Kids: Armageddon' in 2023.

Billy was born to Daina, an aerobics instructor, and Greg Magnussen, a professional bodybuilder, and kickboxer. He has two younger brothers and is of Norwegian and Lithuanian descent. Billy attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and made his Broadway debut in 2007's 'The Ritz'. Some of his well-known Broadway works include 2013's 'Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike', which earned him a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play. Billy had a big break when he played Rapunzel's Prince in Rob Marshall's 'Into the Woods'. Apart from his acting career, Magnussen also has a music career being the bass player and a contributing songwriter for the band The Dash and plays guitar in another band, Reserved for Rondee.
