Bonnie Lynn Hunt, born on September 22, 1961, is a versatile American actress, comedian, director, producer, writer, and television host. Her numerous film roles have cemented her reputation in the film industry, bagging roles in notable films like Rain Man, Beethoven, Jumanji, Jerry Maguire, The Green Mile, and family classics Cheaper by the Dozen. She also lent her voice for multiple animated movie franchises including A Bug's Life, Zootopia, Monsters, Inc., Cars, and Toy Story franchises. Hunt diversified her career and expanded into TV, both starring in and producing shows, such as Grand and Davis Rules, The Building, Bonnie, and Life with Bonnie. Furthermore, she hosted The Bonnie Hunt Show from 2008 to 2010.

As a Chicago native, Hunt started her career in the entertainment industry after having worked as an oncology nurse. Her active years in the industry span from 1984 till today, where she variously performs in films, television shows, and even producing several shows. She was educated in Catholic schools before making her stride into Hollywood, which all began in 1984 when she co-founded an improvisational comedy troupe called An Impulsive Thing. She continued to pursue her passion for comedy, performing as a member of the premier comedy club, the Second City, before officially transitioning into the film industry.
