What's After the Movie
Bresha Webb-Jones, born as Breshae Renee Webb on May 6, 1984, is a highly regarded American actress and singer. She garnered significant recognition through her starring roles in the TV One comedy series *Love That Girl!* from 2010 to 2014, where she played the character of Immunique Jefferson. Webb also starred as Renee Ross in the Starz comedy series, *Run the World* from 2021 to 2023. In addition to her impressive TV contributions, she has made notable appearances in films, starring in *Meet the Blacks* in 2016 and its 2021 sequel, as well as *Sextuplets* in 2019, and *A Fall from Grace* in 2020. Early on, Webb showed exceptional talent and was supported by her parents to pursue a career in acting and comedy. She graduated high school from Baltimore School for the Arts in 2002, and in 2007, she graduated from California Institute of Arts with a BFA in acting. After graduation, her career kickstarted with prominent roles on television, notably on the NBC medical drama series, ER, playing Dr. Laverne St. John. Her work ethic and talent allowed her to progressively take on increasingly substantial roles, eventually landing her in the leading role of several television series and grabbing significant parts in high-profile films. Personal inspiration from actors like Angela Bassett and Will Smith bolstered her determination in the field. As a devout Christian, Webb reinforces the importance of keeping God at the center of her life.
