Callum Turner

Callum Robilliard Turner, born on 15 February 1990, is a renowned British actor and fashion model. Turner grew up in Hammersmith and Chelsea, London, raised by his single mother who was a club promoter. After leaving school early to play football semi-professionally, he worked in retail and as a model before moving into the acting industry. His acting career commenced convincingly in 2010, amazing audiences with his performative versatility. Over the course of his career, Turner has landed leading roles in several prominent productions including Queen and Country (2014), Glue (2014), Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018), and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022). His spellbinding performance in the mystery series The Capture (2019) earned him a nomination for the celebrated British Academy Television Award for Best Actor.

Coming from a background of modelling for companies such as Next and Reebok, Turner transitioned smoothly into his acting career. He managed to snag roles in widely recognized productions such as The Borgias, Ripper Street, and Zero. In 2012, he turned heads with his performance in the ITV series Leaving, and subsequently starred with esteemed actors Andrew Scott and Martin Clunes in another ITV Drama, The Town, where he portrayed a troubled teen. His performance in the lead role of John Boorman's film Queen and Country helped solidify his standing in the industry. Alongside his acting career, Turner has also dabbled into filmmaking, having co-directed and co-written a short film Shift the Plane with Danny King in 2018.
