**Carloto Cotta**, born on January 31, 1984, in Paris, is a versatile Portuguese actor celebrated for his diverse roles in television, stage, and films. Starting from a young age, the heart of Lisbon imbibed in him a passion for acting, which led him to pursue his acting training from the Escola Profissional de Teatro de Cascais when he was merely 15. Making his film debut in the year 2003 with Miguel Gomes' _31_, Cotta's journey in the Portuguese cinema has been influential and rewarding. Attaining international recognition with _Tabu_ (2012), Carloto Cotta’s winsome performance continued to spell magic on the big screen. His lead role in the short film _Arena_ (2009) was critically acclaimed, making him a regular presence in the industry. His most notable roles include his applauded performances in Diamantino, for which he won the Best Actor at the 2019 Portugal Golden Globes, followed by another win in 2022 for _The Tsugua Diaries_. He has also been a part of highly viewed Netflix's series _Elite_. Coming to his personal life, Cotta has been quite outspoken about his views on not adhering to any sexual labels emphasizing his belief in the transient nature of identity.
