Casandra Elizabeth Ventura (born August 26, 1986), known mononymously as Cassie, is an American singer, dancer, actress, and model. She started her music career after meeting producer Ryan Leslie in 2004, who signed her to his record label, NextSelection Lifestyle Group. She came into limelight when her debut single, "Me & U" reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100. Her debut studio album Cassie peaked at number four on the Billboard 200.
