Chelsea Peretti (born February 20, 1978) is a versatile American creative, well-recognized for her comedic acting and script writing talents. Peretti is widely known for her character Gina Linetti from the popular comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine which aired from 2013 until 2019. Apart from acting, she has earned acclaim as a writer for television series such as Parks and Recreation, Saturday Night Live, and Kroll Show.

Peretti was born in Oakland, California to Amanda Cherkin, a schoolteacher, and Gene Peretti, a criminal defense lawyer and painter. She attended The College Preparatory School in Oakland before moving to New York City in 1996 to attend Barnard College of Columbia University. In her professional career, Peretti has written for a wide range of publications, including The Village Voice, Details, Playgirl, Jest, and American Theatre Magazine. She shifted to Los Angeles and made appearances on TV shows such as Kroll Show, Louie, The Sarah Silverman Program, TruTV Presents: World's Dumbest..., and Tosh.0. After her significant contributions to television, Peretti explored various other media. She formed a comedy troupe in 2004 with her friends and began a podcast named Call Chelsea Peretti in 2012. In a creative twist, Peretti released a musical comedy concept album about coffee, titled Foam and Flotsam, in April 2020.
