Chiara Mastroianni

**Chiara Charlotte Mastroianni**, born on 28th May 1972, is a remarkable figure in the world of cinema. A French actress and singer, she comes from a lineage of distinguished actors, being the daughter of actors Marcello Mastroianni and Catherine Deneuve. Born in Paris to a French actress mother and Italian actor father, Mastroianni's early life was shadowed by the broken marriage of her parents, who separated when she was only two. She also has two half-siblings, a brother, Christian Vadim from her mother's relationship with director Roger Vadim, and a sister, Barbara Mastroianni, from her father's marriage. Her connection to the world of acting extends to the famous Dorléac family of actors, including her grandparents and aunts. Mastroianni's career in acting took off with a bang, culminating in a César Award nomination for her very first feature film appearance in 'My Favorite Season'. She played a variety of roles in films such as 'Prêt-à-Porter', 'Time Regained', 'Nowhere', 'The Letter', and the award-winning 'Carnages'. An active contributor to several international film festivals, in 2016 she was named a member of the main competition jury for the 73rd Venice International Film Festival. In 2019 she bagged the Un Certain Regard Best Performance award for 'On a Magical Night' and by 2024 she was a Jury member at the Tokyo International Film Festival. A notable mention is her collaboration with French filmmaker Christophe Honoré, with whom she has worked in numerous films.
