Colman Domingo

**Colman Jason Domingo**, born November 28, 1969, is a remarkable American actor, playwright, and director. Ranking among notable personalities on both screen and stage, Domingo's exceptional contributions to the arts have earned him various accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award, as well as nominations for an Academy Award and two Tony Awards. With his influence and impact, Time magazine honored him as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2024. His early inclusion in Broadway includes the 2005 play, 'Well', and the 2008 musical, 'Passing Strange'. He gained attention for his enactment of Mr. Bones in the Broadway musical, 'The Scottsboro Boys' (2011), which got him a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. Domingo would then replay the role in the 2014 West End production, earning him recognition through a nomination for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical. By 2018, he authored the book for the Broadway musical, 'Summer: The Donna Summer Musical'. His filmography is extensive, boasting supporting roles in popular films like 'Lincoln' (2012), 'Selma' (2014), 'If Beale Street Could Talk' (2018), 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom' (2020), and 'The Color Purple' (2023).
