Dean Norris

**Dean Joseph Norris**, born on April 8, 1963, is a notable American actor. Norris is best recognized for his roles as **Hank Schrader** on the acclaimed AMC series *Breaking Bad* (2008–2013), *James 'Big Jim' Rennie* on CBS's *Under the Dome* (2013–2015), and as **Clay 'Uncle Daddy' Husser** on TNT's *Claws* (2017–2022). Over the course of his career, he has racked up an impressive 150 plus credits in film and television. Norris's filmography includes significant roles in films like *Lethal Weapon 2* (1989), *Total Recall* (1990), *Terminator 2: Judgment Day* (1991), and *Little Miss Sunshine* (2006). He was born in South Bend, Indiana, to a Hungarian family. He participated in the award-winning student-produced comedy show *Beyond Our Control* during his high school years. Norris graduated from Harvard College in 1985, studying Social Studies and being involved in Hasty Pudding Theatricals. He earned a diploma from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1987. In his career span, Norris has been part of various well-known TV series like *The X-Files*, *The West Wing*, and *Lost*. His pivotal role as Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent **Hank Schrader** on *Breaking Bad* has been particularly praised by critics. He reprised the role in the prequel series, *Better Call Saul* during the show's fifth season. Norris also featured in lead roles in other projects, including CBS sitcom *United States of Al*. Norris and his wife, Bridget Norris, mother to their five children and a former entertainment attorney, reside in Temecula, California. In 2018, they instituted the Norris Performing Arts Center in Murrieta. Norris is a committed member of the Democratic Party.
