Dean-Charles Chapman, born on 7th September 1997, is an English actor widely recognized for several prominent roles in both film and television. His acting journey began with a portrayal of Billy Elliot in the renown West End theatre production of Billy Elliot the Musical. His TV roles expanded with Richard Grey in The White Queen (2013), followed by a memorable role as Tommen Baratheon in the critically acclaimed HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones (2014–2016). His filmography extended to Sam Mendes's celebrated film 1917 (2019) where he played the character Tom Blake.

At a young age of eight, Chapman began his acting career with a minor role of 'Small Boy' in Billy Elliot before getting promoted to lead roles. He has the honor of being the second-longest running cast member in the production. During this period, he worked alongside Tom Holland, a future Spider-Man, and met Prime Minister Gordon Brown. After leaving Billy Elliot, he embraced sitcoms with a lead role in CBBC's The Revolting World of Stanley Brown, co-starring Nell Williams. His film voyage began with Before I Go to Sleep (2014), featuring Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth. After a minor role in Game of Thrones' third season, he got propelled into a major role in the subsequent seasons, earning a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. He featured in seven episodes of the AMC series Into the Badlands and later played a supporting role in Blinded by the Light. His lead role in Sam Mendes's war film, 1917, alongside co-lead George MacKay, received immense appreciation and scored ten Academy Award nominations.
