She has also gained prominence on the global stage, bagging nominations for a Golden Globe Award and a BAFTA Award, becoming the first Filipino to secure these nominations in any category. De Leon has a profound history of performance in local productions of The Merchant of Venice, Waiting for Godot, Old Times, and Medea, which affirmed her passion for acting.
