Felicity Huffman

**Felicity Kendall Huffman** (born December 9, 1962) is an acclaimed American actress, known predominantly for her incredible performances in the ABC series *Desperate Housewives* and the movie *Transamerica*. Born into a wealthy family, Huffman's career in the film industry sprouted from the theatre. She secured various supporting roles in film and television in the 1990s, before winning the audience with her portrayal as Dana Whitaker in *Sports Night*. Perhaps Huffman's most recognised TV role is as Lynette Scavo in *Desperate Housewives*, a role that earned her a Primetime Emmy Award and multiple nominations for Golden Globes. However, Huffman's talents aren't restricted to television; her performance in *Transamerica* received widespread critical acclaim which culminated in a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. Despite her illustrious career, Huffman's reputation was marred by her involvement in a 2019 nationwide college entrance exam cheating scandal, which resulted in a 14-day prison sentence, a $30,000 fine, and 250 hours of community service. Huffman's career spanned over multiple mediums inclusive of TV, film, theatre, and she has published co-authored a self-help book.
