Glen Thomas Powell Jr., born October 21, 1988, is an American actor who commenced his career with minutiae in television and films such as Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over and Fast Food Nation. Notable roles include the comedy-horror series Scream Queens, the teen comedy Everybody Wants Some!!, the romantic comedy Set It Up, and performances as astronaut John Glenn in Hidden Figures and aviator Tom Hudner in Devotion. Powell gained wider recognition for starring in Top Gun: Maverick and the romantic comedy Anyone but You. He has also co-written, produced, and starred in the dark comedy Hit Man.

Raised in Austin, Texas, Powell started pursuing acting seriously while working with Antonio Banderas and Sylvester Stallone in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. He made a switch to Los Angeles, where he managed to get minor roles in TV series alongside small credits in films. From 2014, he began receiving significant roles in feature films like The Expendables 3. His fame escalated after his role in Set it Up, making him a sought-after name in the industry. He worked as a voice actor in the animated film Apollo 10 1⁄2: A Space Age Childhood and played a naval officer Tom Hudner in Devotion. Powell's much-praised performance in Hit Man announced him as a movie star and a filmmaking force to contend with. He also starred in Twisters, a sequel to the 1996 film Twister, receiving positive reviews.
