**Jennifer Tilly**, an American-Canadian actress and professional poker player, is known for her distinctive breathy voice and comedic timing. Born as **Jennifer Ellen Chan** on September 16, 1958, Tilly is the recipient of a Saturn Award, a Fantasporto Award, and a GLAAD Award, with nominations for an American Comedy Award, a Gemini Award, two MTV Movie Awards, and an Academy Award. She gained recognition and acclaim for her roles in acclaimed films, and as a well-established voice actor. Tilly's most recognizable role is perhaps that of Tiffany Valentine in Bride of Chucky and subsequent installments of the Child's Play film series, earning her the status of a pop culture icon and scream queen. In addition to film and television, Tilly has made substantial strides on stage, notably in Broadway revivals such as The Women and Don't Dress for Dinner. Beyond her acting career, Tilly found success as a professional poker player, becoming a World Series of Poker bracelet winner, and the first celebrity to win such a tournament. As of 2019, her live tournament winnings exceeded $1 million. The actress was born to parents Harry Chan, a used car salesman, and Patricia, a Canadian schoolteacher and former stage actress and raised on rural Texada Island in British Columbia. Despite coming from a background challenged by family difficulties, she developed an interest in theater and realized it with a bachelor's degree in theater.
