Jermaine Fowler

**Jermaine Fowler** (born May 16, 1988) is a well-known American actor, comedian, producer, and writer. He has achieved considerable recognition for his various roles, most notably that of *King Akeem Joffer's long-lost son Prince Lavelle Junson* in the 2021 romantic comedy film 'Coming 2 America', as well as *Franco Wicks* on the CBS sitcom television series 'Superior Donuts'. Born and raised in Washington D.C, and Hyattsville, Maryland, Fowler kick-started his career primarily as a stand-up comedian, often performing at open-mic nights in Times Square, New York City, where he moved at the age of 20. His professional journey in the entertainment industry began in earnest in 2012 when he started touring the country performing at comedy clubs and colleges. In subsequent years, he diversified his portfolio, moving on to writing, producing, and starring in his own pilots. His versatility shone in his performances in Mtv2’s 'Guy Code' and 'Friends of the People’, stretching across two seasons on TruTV. In 2015, he produced and starred in his debut comedy special, 'Give 'Em Hell, Kid', licensing it to Showtime. Fowler continued to broaden his horizon in 2017 when he became an executive producer and star of the CBS sitcom 'Superior Donuts’. His varied repertoire over the years is a testament to Fowler’s exceptional talent and his ability to create compelling narratives across different platforms and genres.
