Joel Kinnaman

Swedish native **Joel Kinnaman**, born as Charles Joel Nordström Kinnaman, has made a name for himself as a renowned actor both in his home country and internationally. His journey began in 1990 with appearances in a Swedish soap opera, Storstad. His breakthrough came later, in 2010, when he took on roles in the Swedish film Easy Money and the Johan Falk crime series. Internationally, Kinnaman is recognized for his portrayal of Detective Stephen Holder in AMC's The Killing, Takeshi Kovacs in Altered Carbon's first season, and Governor Will Conway in House of Cards. His performance in movies like the 2014 RoboCop remake and Warner Bros. film adaptations of DC Comics' Suicide Squad in 2016 and its sequel in 2021 has also garnered him mainstream recognition. Since 2019, Kinnaman has portrayed the character of NASA astronaut Ed Baldwin in the Apple TV+ science fiction drama series For All Mankind. Kinnaman's acting career extends to the realm of international film. In 2010, he featured in the thriller The Darkest Hour and subsequently appeared in various movies and television series including Safe House, Lola Versus, and RoboCop's 2014 remake. From 2011 to 2014, he played Detective Stephen Holder in AMC's The Killing. A role he almost landed includes that of Thor (2011) and Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). Kinnaman has continued to work on various productions for streaming television networks such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV+. Recently, he has featured in the movie The Secrets We Keep and the crime drama Brothers by Blood. His latest work includes his recurring role in Season 3 and 4 of For All Mankind playing Ed Baldwin.
