Kaitlyn Rochelle Dever (/ˈdiːvər/; born December 21, 1996) is an American actress, musician, and voice actress who is identified for her striking roles in television series such as Justified (2011–2015), Last Man Standing (2011–2021), Unbelievable (2019), and Dopesick (2021). Her performances in these series earned her Golden Globe Award nominations for Unbelievable and Dopesick, and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Dopesick. Dever has also showcased her talent in supporting roles in films such as Short Term 12 (2013), Detroit (2017), Beautiful Boy (2018), Dear Evan Hansen (2021), and Ticket to Paradise (2022). In addition to her acting career, along with her sister Mady, Dever has contributed music to the film Tully (2018) under the duo name Beulahbelle. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona, to her parents who were ice skating coaches. Since her childhood, Dever has shown immense interest in performing arts, which led her parents to enroll her in an acting school.

Dever's early acting career took off with her role as Gwen Thompson in the 2009 film An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong. She appeared on numerous television shows including Modern Family, Private Practice, and The Mentalist. Dever's film credits only extended developing her career, appearing in films such as The Spectacular Now and Short Term 12 in 2013. In 2019, Dever starred in the critically acclaimed teen comedy Booksmart which had its world premiere at South by Southwest. Her performance in the Netflix miniseries Unbelievable led to a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. Dever's later works include a Quibi comedy series, an Audible audio drama, and some HBO productions. As part of her music career, Dever and her sister have performed together from a young age, being influenced by artists such as ABBA and The Cure. They released their debut single 'Raleigh' in 2020.
