Kristen Anne Bell is a critically acclaimed American actress whose acting career began in stage productions while attending the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Her breakout performance in the television series Veronica Mars (2004–2007) earned her a Saturn Award. She has also received critical acclaim and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her leading role in the NBC comedy series The Good Place (2016–2020). In addition to her successful television career, Bell has also notably lent her voice to the character Princess Anna in Disney's Frozen series. She starred in numerous films, including Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), Bad Moms (2016), and A Bad Moms Christmas (2017). Kristen has remained active from 1992-present.

Born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, she studied at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Despite her diverse roots in Irish, Scottish, German and Polish ancestry, her acting career has mostly been built in American entertainment. Kristen Bell was in a relationship with actor Dax Shepard from late 2007, with whom she shares two children. The couple got married in 2013, after California legalized same-sex marriage and are still together. She was also previously engaged to actor-producer Kevin Mann.
